Asset decisions depend on more than databases — they require context about condition, performance, rehabilitation, constructability, risk, and the limits of available information.

Engineering Leadership
Mike Van Duyn, PE, SE, is Pacific Skyline’s Principal Structural Engineer and engineering lead. He is a California-licensed Professional Engineer and Structural Engineer with more than 20 years of experience in bridge and transportation infrastructure.
His background spans structural analysis and design, seismic evaluation, load rating, existing-structure assessment, rehabilitation, and lifecycle planning across highway, railroad, transit, and high-speed-rail systems. His infrastructure asset-management and lifecycle-planning experience includes asset inventories and records, inspection and condition data, condition-based evaluation, long-range rehabilitation and maintenance planning, and capital-prioritization support.
